Jennifer Hanzlik

I write about the evolving nature of sibling grief following the sudden death of my only brother, Jeff. I reflect on the memories that divided my life into a before and an after, while tracing how writing, grief counseling, and the returning beauty of spring gradually helped me learn to carry my loss. My writing is about discovering that healing does not mean leaving someone behind. It means learning how to continue living while carrying their love with you. I am a writer, health and physical education teacher, and yoga instructor based in New Jersey. Much of my writing explores grief, memory, healing, and the quiet ways we find our way back to ourselves.
